Jamal Adeen Thomas chose a different career path unlike his renowned father, Clarence Thomas, who is the Supreme Court’s longest-serving judge.

He worked in the field of finance, according to the Christian Science Monitor. In addition, he is now recruited at John F. Van Der Hyde & Associates as the Director of Supervision.

Before that, he was employed at Wells Fargo and BB&T Scott and Stringfellow. Not only that, but Jamal was also an options trader with Wachovia Securities.

As the sole son of an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, his father was nominated for the post by President George H. W. Bush in 1991.

Clarence had purchased a Camaro IROC, a legendary sports automobile, in 1982 after years of hard labor. He made his dream come true when he bought the motorcycle for the first time.

He had to sell the automobile to pay for his son’s education. Clarence enrolled Jamal in a private school to protect his kid from the bullying that black children faced in public schools at the time.

In terms of his schooling, he attended Bishop Ireton High School from grades 9 to 12. After that, he enrolled in Fork Union Military Academy and completed his degree in 1992. 

Jamal graduated from Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business.
